DURBAN - Ulusaba is a private game reserve that is owned by one of the richest men in the world, Richard Branson, according to their Ulusaba website. 

It was in 1994 that Branson bought Ulusaba. 

The game reserve has three lodges. The Cliff Lodge is a private two bedroom suite while the Safari Lodge and the Rock Lodge have 11 rooms and 8 rooms respectively. 

Ulusaba, which is located close the Kruger National Park, offers visitors spectacular views of the reserve and the surrounding terrain. The game reserve is surrounded by 13 500 hectares of land.

Besides the resort being a holiday destination there is the option to have your wedding at the Ulusaba too. 

The Ulusaba was selected as the number one resort in Africa in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards in 2016 and last the resort was named as the Best Luxury Safari Resort by Travel and Leisure India and South Asia.

According to the Virgin Limited Edition website, Ulusaba is not the only resort that Branson owns on the African continent. 

Branson also owns a hotel in Cape Town called the Mont Rochelle which is located in the town of Franschhoek. The hotel has 26 bedrooms and a vineyard. 

The businessman also owns a safari camp in Kenya called Mahali Muri and a hotel in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains called Kasbah Tamadot.
